وَإِذِ ابْتَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ
Waithi ibtala ibraheema rabbuhu bikalimatin faatammahunna qala innee jaAAiluka lilnnasi imaman qala wamin thurriyyatee qala la yanalu AAahdee alththalimeena

Hilali & KhanAnd (remember) when the Lord of Ibrahim (Abraham) tried him with (certain) commands, which he fulfilled. He (Allah) said (to him), "Verily, I am going to make you an Imam (a leader) for mankind (to follow you)." (Ibrahim) said, "And of my offspring (to make leaders)." (Allah) said, "My covenant (prophethood) includes not Zalimin (polytheists and wrongdoers)."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)جب ابراہیم ﴿علیہ السلام﴾ کو ان کے رب نے کئی کئی باتوں سے آزمایا اور انہوں نے سب کو پورا کردیا تو اللہ نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہیں لوگوں کا امام بنا دوں گا، عرض کرنے لگے: اور میری اوﻻد کو، فرمایا میرا وعده ﻇالموں سے نہیں
