Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 87
البقرة · The Cow · verse 87 of 286
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِالرُّسُلِ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰ أَنْفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقًا كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقًا تَقْتُلُونَ
Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba waqaffayna min baAAdihi bialrrusuli waatayna AAeesa ibna maryama albayyinati waayyadnahu biroohi alqudusi afakullama jaakum rasoolun bima la tahwa anfusukumu istakbartum fafareeqan kaththabtum wafareeqan taqtuloona

Hilali & KhanAnd indeed, We gave Musa the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers. And We gave `Isa, the son of Maryam, clear signs and supported him with Ruh-il-Qudus. Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant Some you disbelieved and some you killed.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)ہم نے (حضرت) موسیٰ کو کتاب دی اور ان کے پیچھے اور رسول بھیجے اور ہم نے (حضرت) عیسیٰ ابن مریم کو روشن دلیلیں دیں اور روح القدس سے ان کی تائید کروائی۔ لیکن جب کبھی تمہارے پاس رسول وه چیز ﻻئے جو تمہاری طبیعتوں کے خلاف تھی، تم نے جھٹ سے تکبر کیا، پس بعض کو تو جھٹلادیا اور بعض کو قتل بھی کرڈاﻻ
