Surah Ali 'Imran, Ayah 159
آل عمران · Family of Imran · verse 159 of 200
فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Fabima rahmatin mina Allahi linta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleetha alqalbi lainfaddoo min hawlika faoAAfu AAanhum waistaghfir lahum washawirhum fee alamri faitha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahi inna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileena

Hilali & KhanAnd by the mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pardon them, and ask forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت کے باعﺚ آپ ان پر نرم دل ہیں اور اگر آپ بد زبان اور سخت دل ہوتے تو یہ سب آپ کے پاس سے چھٹ جاتے، سو آپ ان سے درگزر کریں اور ان کے لئے استغفار کریں اور کام کا مشوره ان سے کیا کریں، پھر جب آپ کا پختہ اراده ہو جائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ پر بھروسہ کریں، بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ توکل کرنے والوں سے محبت کرتا ہے
