وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَاءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْ إِحْدَى الْأُمَمِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ مَا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا
Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim lain jaahum natheerun layakoonunna ahda min ihda alomami falamma jaahum natheerun ma zadahum illa nufooran

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور ان کفار نے بڑی زوردار قسم کھائی تھی کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی ڈرانے واﻻ آئے تو وه ہر ایک امت سے زیاده ہدایت قبول کرنے والے ہوں۔ پھر جب ان کے پاس ایک پیغمبر آ پہنچے تو بس ان کی نفرت ہی میں اضافہ ہوا
