النساء · The Women · verse 19 of 176
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَرِثُوا النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا وَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِنْ كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaa karhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboo bibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa an yateena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunna bialmaAAroofi fain karihtumoohunna faAAasa an takrahoo shayan wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran

Hilali & KhanO you who believe! You are not permitted to inherit women against their will, nor to prevent them from marriage in order to get part of (the dowry) what you have given them, unless they commit open Fahishah. And live with them honorably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)ایمان والو! تمہیں حلال نہیں کہ زبردستی عورتوں کو ورﺛے میں لے بیٹھو انہیں اس لئے روک نہ رکھو کہ جو تم نے انہیں دے رکھا ہے، اس میں سے کچھ لے لو ہاں یہ اور بات ہے کہ وه کوئی کھلی برائی اور بے حیائی کریں ان کے ساتھ اچھے طریقے سے بودوباش رکھو، گو تم انہیں ناپسند کرو لیکن بہت ممکن ہے کہ تم کسی چیز کو برا جانو، اور اللہ تعالیٰ اس میں بہت ہی بھلائی کر دے
