Surah Al-Hadid, Ayah 14
الحديد · The Iron · verse 14 of 29
يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloo bala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastum wairtabtum wagharratkumu alamaniyyu hatta jaa amru Allahi wagharrakum biAllahi algharooru

Hilali & Khan(The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward to our destruction; and you doubted, and you were deceived by false hopes, till the command of Allah came to pass. And the deceiver deceived you in regard to Allah."

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)یہ چلا چلا کر ان سے کہیں گے کہ کیا ہم تمھارے ساتھ نہ تھے وه کہیں گے کہ ہاں تھے تو سہی لیکن تم نے اپنے آپ کو فتنہ میں پھنسا رکھا تھا اور انتظار میں ہی رہے اور شک و شبہ کرتے رہے اور تمہیں تمہاری فضول تمناؤں نے دھوکے میں ہی رکھا یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا حکم آ پہنچا اور تمہیں اللہ کے بارے میں دھوکہ دینے والے نے دھوکے میں ہی رکھا
