الأعراف · The Heights · verse 148 of 206
وَاتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَهُ خُوَارٌ أَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّهُ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلًا اتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ
Waittakhatha qawmu moosa min baAAdihi min huliyyihim AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarun alam yaraw annahu la yukallimuhum wala yahdeehim sabeelan ittakhathoohu wakanoo thalimeena

Hilali & KhanAnd the people of Musa made in his absence, out of their ornaments, the image of a calf (for worship). It had a sound. Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to the way They took it (for worship) and they were wrongdoers.

Ahsan ul Bayan (Junagarhi)اور موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کی قوم نے ان کے بعد اپنے زیوروں کا ایک بچھڑا معبود ٹھہرا لیا جو کہ ایک قالب تھا جس میں ایک آواز تھی۔ کیا انہوں نے یہ نہ دیکھا کہ وه ان سے بات نہیں کرتا تھا اور نہ ان کو کوئی راه بتلاتا تھا اس کو انہوں نے معبود قرار دیا اور بڑی بے انصافی کا کام کیا
